 | This is me in office attire during military service. I would hang a pair
of civilian clothes in my file-store and change into them lightning fast so that I could
sneak off for lunch in town when the coast was clear!

 | This is a NACRA 5.8, the meanest, fastest catamaran I've sailed. At 1.6
wind factor, the boat has the potential to travel at 1.6 times the speed of wind blowing.
I have blasted close to 30kts in a storm blowing 20kts with this boat. My friend Iu-Jin
and I named her "Rocket Science".

 | Meet "TK", a Tokay Gecko commonly found around South East
Asia. An American Missionary in Chiang Rai Thailand found him for me. I named it TK after
my dad Thuan Kok because of its laid back personality. TK's belly is soft and fun to
tickle. TK got me into trouble one night at a bar when I asked (quite innocently) a bunch
of new girl friends if they'd like to come home with me to check out my lizard...

 | This is a cock fight in Chatuchak--the weekend market in Bangkok,
Thailand. The arena is choked with hot stifling humidity, the stench of chicken poop and
sweaty humans is overwhelming, and the gore of the two cockerels tearing at each other
almost too much to bear. It's hard to believe my father was so into these events that he
once kept his own cockerels!

 | This was Val. She was my best friend while she was alive. Despite being
old enough to have been my grandma, she chose to follow me to the beach at 5am in the
mornings to go fishing with me. I will never forget the lesson of unconditional love she
demonstrated to me.
