This page highlights the different Chambre d'Hotes (Bed & Breakfasts) we stayed at, and the house in St. Severin.
Pretty as this place is, all the rooms in this Chambre d'Hote had a musty smell reminescent of dung. This dollhouse was described charming in the Michelin guide, and I suppose it is on hindsight. But we found the place particularly spooky that night...
We liked this place so much that we asked the madame for a booking during our return. But alas, she was already occupied then!
Our first impression of this house (loaned to my uncle for this vacation) was disappointing. Dampness reeked throughout the dim interior. But it was nothing a fire and central heating couldn't fix!
Once the fatigue of travelled dissolved in a hot bath, we made ourselves at home. Vincent even made friends with the neighbours in a friendly game of street-soccer.
We liked this last Chambre d'Hote in particular. It had handsome grounds and stately, themed rooms.
